Simple. Biblical. Beautiful.
Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
as you have said.
Hate evil, and love good,
and establish justice in the gate;
it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts,
will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
This is not from Proverbs, not an admonition toward wisdom. This is one of Israel's prophets calling her back to the simplest of pursuits. I do not need to say much else. I love it.
I memorized this as a cadence and said it over and over and over. It never got old.
Never will.
